Becoming a Professional Disruptor: Life Journey of TUSHY Founder Miki Agrawal.

As a social entrepreneur and the founder of multiple companies, Miki Agrawal has become comfortable sitting in front of the public spotlight. More than just another business professional with ideas more significant than the world, Agrawal has found herself becoming a magnetic disruptor, someone capable of engineering change by providing modern solutions to older problems.

Let’s take a moment to jump into the mind and times of Miki Agrawal so that we can better understand the founder of Tushy, her goals and aspirations, and the ways by which she plans to accomplish it all.

Learning About Disruption

Miki Agrawal is a name that has garnered plenty of attention over the years, mainly thanks to her efforts in normalizing bathroom hygiene as well as period-proof underwear. Agrawal has never been afraid to embrace the more taboo subjects in life, and that has been something that has guided her throughout her professional career.

Agrawal points to her work with TUSHY, a modern bidet brand, as one of the guideposts for her mindset in the business world. While a topic many people wouldn’t want to touch upon due to ‘ick,’ Agrawal embraced her multi-cultural roots as well as her history with bidet attachments in an Asian-American household to come up with TUSHY.

Agrawal said of her past guiding her business, “I’m half Japanese, half Indian, and bidets are normal in both of those cultures. I never really thought about owning one when I was younger because they were so expensive!”

Miki Agrawal went on to say of her efforts in bringing Tushy to America during the COVID-19 pandemic, “I wanted to make the best-in-class, sleek, modern bidet and, of course, make it relevant to American culture.”

Creating Opportunities as an Entrepreneur

Finding success as an entrepreneur and disruptor took much more than just a lot of effort; it took a set of skills that Agrawal had primed throughout her life. One of her most important skills, it turns out, involves her constant need to question everything around her.

Agrawal said in an interview, “The questioning philosophy showed up in my entrepreneurial career as I looked to enter categories that have been ‘set for a long time.”

Establishing the willingness to take risks was an essential skill that Agrawal had to hone throughout her career as an entrepreneur, even up to today. Agrawal added of her efforts, “At TUSHY, we are taking bigger creative risks as our company grows, and that feels good.”

Miki Agrawal rounded out her advice on skillets by discussing the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. Agrawal stated, “Each of us has our own unique zone of genius. I’m lit up when I get to be creative and ideate new directions for my brands.”
